Achillea filipendulina 'Cloth of Gold' - FERN-LEAF YARROW 'CLOTH OF GOLD'
Sturdy old-fashioned perennial with mustard yellow flowers and fern-like silver foliage.
Very easy to grow, but requires sunny, well drained and somewhat leaner soils.
Award of Garden merit by RHS (Royal Horticultural Society, Britain).
Aromatic plant with medicinal properties (anti-inflamatory and atiseptic properties). Poisonous to furry pets and horses, but plants are bitter, so avoided. Grows fairly fast and may have to be divided after 3-4 years (overcrowded growth).
Blooming Time: June to (early) August, can be cut back to encourage another blooming
Size: usually 3-4' tall x 2.5-3' wide

Culture: sun, grows well in average soils, if they are drained well (amended with gravel, sand, etc). Medium, medium-dry to dry soil. Adaptable to pH, but soils should be drained and leaner. In too rich soil will grow too quickly, flop, rot or all of it. Avoid waterlogged , rich and fertile soils! Fairly drought tolerant once established
