Asclepias incarnata 'Ice Ballet' - SWAMP MILKWEED 'ICE BALLET'

Product Code: ASC-INC-ICEBAL
Shipping: Calculated at Checkout
$6.99

Swamp milkweed 'Ice Ballet' is the white-flowering form of native swamp milkweed. It offers 4,” dense clusters of vanilla-scented, white flower heads that put on a show through the summer.

It is a must for butterflies and monarchs, and hummingbirds also occasionally seek for nectar here. Even though it originates in swamps or wet meadows, it grows well in average soil that doesn't dry out completely. It dies back completely to the ground in the fall.

Deer resistant and clay tolerant plant. Excellent perennial for sunny borders, monarch or pollinator gardens, and deer resistant landscaping projects. A good plant for low spots, rain gardens or other moist areas along streams or in wet meadows.

Bought 3 Spring 2021, came in great condition and well-packed. They did just ok in the garden first year with a few small florets, but by the second year they were four feet tall and covered in pale cream blossoms by end of May through mid-July in zone 6a. Very pretty, and the pollinators love them.
