Asclepias tuberosa 'Hello Yellow' - BUTTERFLY MILKWEED 'HELLO YELLOW'
Butterfly Milkweed 'Hello Yellow' is a yellow flowering form that monarch butterflies love as much as the typical orange milkweed. This pollinator magnet also attracts hummingbirds.
This is a "seed strain," so the flower colors range from lemon and golden yellow to tangerine/yellow. It will be a little surprise for you, since we can't tell what shade they will be until they flower.
In all other respects, 'Hello Yellow' is just like orange Butterfly Weed - a low, clumping and pretty tough perennial that flowers through the summer. It is difficult to transplant due its tap root, so choose your spot wisely. Great plant for a sunny, medium to dry, well-drained spot in your garden. Perfect for borders, slopes, butterfly gardens, drier meadows, prairies, native plant areas or bigger rock gardens.
