Low growing, prostrate fall aster with small 0.5" white flowers that completely cover the whole plant. Very tough, healthy, vigorous and adaptable.
One of the Aster winners in Chicago Botanic Gardens trials, gaining 5 stars of 5.
Award of Garden Merit by RHS (Royal Horticultural Society).
Plant slowly grows wide. Leaves are stiff, tiny and remind of heaths.

Size: 4-6" (up to 6") tall x 12-24" wide

Culture: full sun, mostly sun, adaptable to all soil types (including sandy, poor, shallow or clay soil)
Moisture Needs: average to dry
Origin: The native range of the tall species spans most of North America (USDA distribution map); the prostrate form is listed, but not shown on USDA. This aster of unknown origin was introduced to Britain by famous British garden designer Beth Chatto in 1983

Plant Combinations: Perfect plant for hot baking edges, slopes, bigger rock gardens, edges of sunny beds. In combination with rocks, dry rock walls, edges of raised flower beds, pollinator gardens, low maintanenance gardens, erosion control or xeriscape.
