A very showy plant when in bloom! Blue wild indigo is a long-lived and drought tolerant perennial that grows in robust and dense clumps. What's more, it is easy to grow and adaptable to many soils, and the mid-blue color goes well with many other flower colors; the seedpods are ornamental too.

Spikes of deep blue/purple pea-shaped flowers appear in late spring. The plants form bushy, branched clumps. Deer and rabbit resistant plant.

This is an easy, low maintenance perennial that's perfect for sunny borders, cottage gardens, prairies, meadows, native plant gardens and public spaces. Effective in naturalized settings. Best as a specimen or in small groups.

  • Yet another virgorous, healthy plant! 5

I'm thrilled to find native plants that are not so large that the hole in my wallet is bigger than the hole I have to dig to plant them. I absolutely love US Perennials.

  • whole plant shipment 5

I received all the plants I ordered quickly and they were in really good shape. They were packaged well and there appeared to be no stress on the plants. Nothing was pot bound and everything is healthy. I was able to get it all planted within 2 days of receiving them. I am very pleased with this company. The prices are very good too. These plants are for a new pollinator garden and I can't wait to see what it will look like next summer.

  • Great plant with healthy roots 5

Baptisia is a favorite of mine, and to build up a new cluster I purchased a couple plants in spring. I'm reviewing them now in the heat of summer, and they have done very well, and have been quite tolerant of hot, dry late summer conditions. So: quick to establish thanks to their well-developed, healthy roots. Lovely!
