One of the remarkable cultivars of Baptisia and of course one of the winners of Baptisia trials at Mt. Cuba center.
50" tall and 66" wide, emerging with dark purple stems, great vase shape that doesn't take that much room and long spikes of white flowers that bloom for 3 weeks, starting in May! (Baptisia usually blooms for 2 weeks top).
This is actually the best white flowering Baptisia cultivar so far, and mature clump will produce incredible 160 inflorescences!
Easy to grow perennial, a bit slow to establish, but very reliable and long-lived perennial. Hardy in zones 4a to 9b.
Full sun, average garden and moisture (not waterlogged soils). Drought and clay tolerant, deer resistant.
For flower beds, borders, cottage gardens, naturalistic plantings, prairie style plantings.
Pot Size : square 3.5" x 4" deep perennial pot
