Usually 2' tall x 1-1.5' wide, lighter yellow thistle-like flowers, silver-green leaves, blooms from June to August.

Sun, drained soils with medium moisture to dry. Gritty, sandy, rocky soils preferable.

Hardy in zones 6 to 9.

Native to Southeastern Europe and Western Asia.

Deer and rabbit resistant, attracts honeybees and potentially some native bees and butterflies.

We don't have many experiences with this plant, since we just planted it in our raised sand bed, but we would recommend it to more experienced grower or someone with the right conditions.
