Low growing, prostrate fall aster with small 0.5" white flowers that completely cover the plant. Very tough, healthy, vigorous and adaptable. Plant slowly, grows wide. Leaves are stiff, tiny and remind of heaths.
One of the Aster winners in Chicago Botanic Gardens trials, gaining 5 stars of 5.

Culture: full sun, mostly sun, adaptable to all soil types (including sandy, poor, shallow or clay soil)

Origin: The native range of the tall species spans most of North America (USDA distribution map); the prostrate form is listed, but not shown on USDA. This aster of unknown origin was introduced to Britain by famous British garden designer Beth Chatto in 1983
