Aromatic sage with hot red tubular flowers. 'Tangerine' is much shorter - only 2' tall.

Attracts hummingbirds and other pollinators.

Often grown as annual.

Blooming Time: early summer (late spring in warmer zones) to frosts/fall
Size: 24" tall x 24 " wide - spreads quickly by underground runners, and where hardy it will for wide clump of 3-5' in diameter
USDA Zones: 8-10
Culture: full sun, half sun, average soil with some organic matter, moderatelly fertile to fertile loam.
Moisture Needs: Average moisture (medium) to medium-moist. This sage is not drought tolerant - we observe some wilt during summer droughts, so it does appreciate more moisture or occasional watering. Heat and humidty tolerant.
Origin: Mexico, Guatemala

Black walnut tolerant: possibly yes
Deer/Rabbit Resistant: yes / yes
Attracts Butterflies or Pollinators: yes
