Very early bloomer = from the end of April till late May (in cooler areas till early June). Slowly spreading wide and groundcovering.
'Nana' is the dwarf form of Eared Coreopsis and only grows to about 6-9 inches tall. It flowers in late spring and early summer with gold-orange flowers and is a good, slow-spreading, evergreen groundcover.
Coreopsis auriculata 'Nana' is actually a wildflower, discovered in nature close to Cincinnati, Ohio and later introduced into horticulture. Since then, it has become a vegetative propagated perennial (clone), as the seedlings don't come true.
Effective groundcover or edging plant, provides low growth for woodland edges (in part sun/part shade). Attracts butterflies.
