Coreopsis verticillata 'Moonbeam' - WHORLED TICKSEED 'MOONBEAM'
Superb cultivar, easy to grow, favorite and often-used perennial that's highly recommended by the Mt. Cuba research center:
- in comparison to its cousin 'Zagreb', 'Moonbeam' offer airy, wide clumps that open almost like a vase ('Zagreb' is strictly upright)
- it offers dense, ground-covering growth in full sun, and ornamental, needle-like, fragrant leaves
- it's a long flowering perennial with bigger, pale yellow flowers from early to late summer (nearly the whole summer). If cut back as it finishes blooming, it will set up a new flush of blooms. Great cut flower as a bonus!
- long-lived, very tough and reliable performer
- attracts butterflies, bees, songbirds and is deer resistant
Excellent perennial for public and private gardens - borders, naturalized areas, native plant gardens, water-wise landscaping, deer resistant plantings, rock gardens, butterfly gardens or cottage gardens. Good plant for areas with poor, dry soils. Highly valued by professional landscapers, hobby gardeners, and beginners too.
Can be combined with many common perennials and wildflowers, too - it looks great with Asclepias tuberosa, Asters, Echinacea purpurea or Echinacea tennesseensis, Stokesia laevis, grasses, Paeonia, Achillea millefolium, Hemerocallis, Perovskia, hardy Geraniums, etc.

Coreopsis 'Moonbeam'
I am impressed about the great condition these plants were in when I picked them up. I planted them immediately and so far they are not showing any shock. US Perennials has excellent stock of healthy plants. I highly recommend US Perennials to my friends.
