Desmodium canadense - SHOWY TICKTREFOIL

Product Code: DES-CAN-X
Shipping: Calculated at Checkout
$6.99

This adaptable native wildflower perennial has great wildlife benefits, and its flowers, leaves, and seedpods are all considered ornamental. It grows in bushy clumps, with pink flowers that appear for 3 weeks in late summer. Very adaptable.

Very good plant for pollinators, and the flat seedpods (burs) can easily spread by sticking to clothes and fur.

Can be planted in naturalistic plantings, prairie style plantings, woodland edges, pollinator gardens, hummingbird gardens, bird gardens, low maintenance gardens, and can used for naturalizing. Due to its bushy habit it can be used in a flower bed, alongside Echinacea, Helenium, Phlox, Panicum and other prairie perennials.

Will raise rating once these take hold. Just planted! and eager for the results. These Plants arrived Healthy, , in ground within a week. Looking to have local fly-bys enjoy this Native! Gave it a tough area, on a roadside bank but the plants so far seem pleased.
