Other good companions can be Dianthus, Heuchera (in drier half shade), shorter bearded Irises, Penstemon, Thymus, Teucrium, Satureja, Saponaria and medium to smaller grasses like Koeleria, Sporobolus, Muhlenbergia, Stipa, shorter Schizachyrium.
