New hybrid coneflower with compact, upright habit, large bright orange flowers and a very long flowering season from June to September. Narrower leaves show parentage of narrow-leaf coneflowers.
Top performer at Mt. Cuba trials, gained 4.5 stars out of 5. Also voted among top 5 visitor's favorite. Unfortunately it is not pollinator magnet as some other coneflowers, but it still ranked on 20th position out of 75 trialed cultivar.

Blooming Time: June to September/October
Size: 24" tall with flowers (foliage 16") x 18 " wide
USDA zones: 3/4 to 9
Culture: full sun, average soil with some drainage (add coarse sand, fine gravel), drained soil, drier clay. The coneflower hybrids do not like acidic soils and winter moisture. Tolerant to shallower soils. Avoid waterlogged, cold and constantly moist soils.
Moisture Needs: medium to medium-dry, dry, tolerant to summer droughts
Origin: Terra Nova Nursery hybrid. Patented variety, under technical cultivar name 'TNECHKIO' and number PP28769. Propagation is prohibited.
Black Walnut Tolerant: yes
Deer/rabbit resistant: yes/yes
Attracts Butterflies or Pollinators: yes, but not that many as the wild form or some other cultivars
