Hybrid coneflower with double flowers of salmon color with a hint of yellow.
New flower opens as full, ends up double with dark center and fades to light pink.
Starts to bloom earlier.
Tolerant to drought, heat and humidity.
Blooming time : June to August/September
Size : 24" tall x 18-20" wide
USDA zones : 4 to 9
Culture : full sun, average soil with some drainage (add coarse sand, fine gravel), drained soil, drier clay, preferably with moderate or lower amount of organic matter (mineral soils). The coneflower hybrids do not like acidic soils and winter moisture. Tolerant to shallower soils.
Moisture Needs : medium to medium-dry, dry, tolerant to summer droughts
Origin : Patented variety under PP32486, (with the true cultivar name of 'IFECSSSAL'). Propagation for commercial purposes is prohibited.
Deer/rabbit resistant : yes/yes
Attracts Butterflies or Pollinators : not as single flowering cultivars
Attracts Hummingbirds : no, but seeds provide food for small songbirds
Plant combinations : Best planted in late spring through very early fall, so it can establish before winter. Accent in flower borders, prairie style plantings, public spaces, xeriscape.
