$9.99

Shorter cultivar of Joe Pye Weed suitable for smaller gardens or bigger containers.

3-4' tall and 1-3' wide clumps, pink umbrella flowers in July to September.

Full sun, half shade, it's not fussy about the soil type - average soil, clay, sandy or gravelly soils, that stay average moist to wet, but it will tolerate drier soils too.

Attracts butterflies, insects and is bird friendly too. Deer and rabbit resistant, black walnut tolerant plant.

Hardy in zones 5 to 9.

'Little Joe' was discovered in population of seedlings of E. dubium at a Conard-Pyle Nursery in Pennsylvania and selected by Steve Lighty. Plant was patented in 2005 (U.S. Plant Patent PP16,122) and propagation is prohibited.

Species of Eupatorium dubium is native to coastal states only, from South Carolina to Maine, see the USDA distribution map.

This adaptable, long-lived perennial can be used from rain gardens, water margins to regular flower beds, naturalistic landscaping, prairie plantings, butterfly or pollinator gardens, naturalized in meadows or in bigger containers.
