Blooms from early May to mid June, flower size 1' in diameter.
Semi-evergreen leaves, 18" tall x 14" wide clumps. More or less ground-covering mounds.
Full sun, half-shade, preferably loamy soils, loamy clay, organic rich soils, that stay medium to medium-moist (but NOT waterlogged).
Avens do like cooler climate, areas with cooler nights - so they will perform better in upper Midwest or coastal areas, in hotter climate find cooler spot in half shade (afternoon/early evening shade).
Moderately tolerant to summer drought - leaves may scorch or turn brown and plant will re-sprout with more moisture.
Deer and rabbit resistant plant, butterfly and bee friendly.
Hardy in zones 4 - 7.

Great perennial for borders, goes well with many perennials, best planted in the front or center of the flower bed.
