This smaller statice forms cute rosettes of grayish leaves. In early summer it forms well branched stems with tiny white star-shaped flowers.

Great plant for cut and dried flowers. 

Blooming Time: July/August
Size: 1.5' tall and wide
USDA Zones: 5 to 9
Culture: full sun to half-sun, average soil that drains well to gravel, rocky or sandy soils ( well drained soils). Drought tolerant.
Moisture Needs: dry, medium-dry to medium
Origin: Balkan Peninsula and Eastern Romania. Introduced by Jelitto Perennial Seeds in 2007.
Deer/Rabbit Resistant: yes / yes
Attracts Butterflies or Pollinators: yes
Attracts Hummingbirds: no
Pot Size: square 3.5" x 4" perennial pot (1.22 pt/580 ml)

Plant combinations: Drier or dry beds, rock gardens, coastal gardens, dry cotage gardens, cut flower gardens, edges of sunny beds. Good companions include shorter Agastache, Asclepias tuberosa, dwarf Baptisia, Callirhoe, Coreopsis, Dalea, shorter cultivars of Echinacea, Eryngium, shorter Gaura, Gaillardia, Liatris, Monarda bradburiana, Penstemons, Phlox subulata, Verbena canadensis, prairie grasses like Schizachyrium scoparium, Sporolobus heterolepis, Stipa etc. Suitable non-native perennials can be Acanthus, Ashodelina, Campanula, Centaurea, Dictamnus, Eryngium, Knautia macedonica, Kniphophia, Iris x germanica, Iris tectorum, Lavandula, Stachys, Veronica spicata etc.
