Very late bloomer, covered with 2" golden flowers with a dark center. Forms dense mounds and has narrow, dark green foliage.

 

Blooming Time: September until frost
Size: 24-26" tall x 24" wide clumps
USDA Zones: Hardy in zones 5-10
Culture: Full sun, average soil, clay, loam with average moisture (slightly moist, medium, medium-dry). Prefers somewhat drained soils (don't plant in waterlogged soils).
Moisture Needs: Established plants tolerate drought.
Origin: This cultivars comes from open-pollinated seeds from short selection of Helianthus salicifolius 'Low Down', plants is protected by the patent no. PP30117. The species of Helianthus salicifolius is much taller plants and is native to several central states and Texas diagonally through small part of Midwest up to north-eastern states, see the BONAP distribution map.
