$7.99

A very showy and underused native perennial, Helianthus mollis has big yellow flowers, very hairy stems and leaves, and a long flowering season.

One of the shorter perennial sunflowers, it forms clumps that slowly spread by rhizomes and can create bigger colonies. Very drought, heat, and deer tolerant. Attracts butterflies, and birds feed on the seeds.

It's great for drier flower beds, erosion control, for shallow soils and naturalization.

Also called ashy sunflower.
