Liatris ligulistylis - MEADOW BLAZING STAR

Product Code: LIA-LIG-X
Shipping: Calculated at Checkout
$6.99

You could say this is just one of many tall blazing stars, but Liatris ligulistylis is a true monarch magnet!

This long-flowering perennial is a great vertical accent.

The upright spikes are very loose-looking because each flower is on a little stem, with narrow leaves that are typical for all blazing stars.

Drought, heat and humidity tolerant plant. This pollinator and butterfly magnet also attracts hummingbirds. Great for pollinator gardens, monarch gardens, cottage gardens, naturalistic plantings, prairie landscaping and perennial borders - but in too rich, amended and moist soil it can flop and may need staking.

Plants arrived looking good as always. Right now they are growing well and look good. Cannot wait till they bloom. Everything I ordered last year has come back and looks very healthy.

The foliage on all of the plants in my order, including these, was satisfactory, often having been trimmed to help the plant survive the travel and transplant shock. However, the root systems are among the healthiest I've ever seen. Within 2 weeks my plants had new leaves popping up and even some flower buds. I will buy from US Perennials again. They are the perfect balance of plants that are small enough to be economical and yet of excellent quality.
