"UNDAUNTED is a compact, cold and heat hardy selection of muhly grass that will reach up to 2' tall with an equal spread. The flowering stalks emerge in late summer and mature in autumn to soft-textured, pink plumes. UNDAUNTED was discovered as a seedling of Muhlenbergia reverchonii 'Autumn Embers', and is also found in the trade under the cultivar name 'PUND01S'."
Compact dense clumps, flowers in August to November, ruby pink airy flowers. Introduction of High Country Gardens.
One of the most tough and hardy Muhly Grasses, that can be grown in zones 5 to 9 (the wild form is native grass to Texas and Oklahoma).
Full sun, drained soils with medium moisture or dry, including rocky or sandy soils.
Best in little groups or masses in drained soils, poorer shallow soils, rocky soils, rock gardens. Cottage gardens, dry flower beds, naturalization.
