Switchgrass with a compact, shorter stature of 3'. Upright, dense and not-flopping, sturdy in wind and heavy snow.

Dark rosy red flowers on the top of the plant with greenish leaves that turn golden in fall.

Blooming time : late summer to fall/winter
Size : 3' tall x 1.5-2' wide clumps
USDA zones : 4 to 9
Culture : sun, half sun, adaptable to various soil conditions, average soil, loam, clay soil. Ideal pH of the soil - neutral to slightly acidic.
Moisture Needs : medium-moist, medium (average), medium-dry, tolerates droughts, heat and humidity. 
Origin : Introduced by Walters Gardens (Zeeland, Michigan). Patented plant pending.

    Everything I get from US Perennials is great, but their grasses are incredible. Really healthy plant, exactly as described and settling in well.
