Delicate looking native perenial from sandy soils. Grassy silvery-green leaves, upright branched stems with gold-yelow flowers in late sumer and fall.

Long and late flowering season, attracts butterflies.

Blooming time: August-September/October 
Size: 24-30" tall x 12-14' wide
USDA Zones: 5/6 to 8
Culture: full sun. Sandy soils, well drained soils, dry soils, xeriscape, rocky, gravelly soils. Tolerant to heat, humidity, drought. Neutral to slightly alkaline soils.
Moisture Needs: average (medium) to medium-dry, dry
