New hybrid from random cross pollination of Salvia indica (Western Asia) and Salvia moorcroftiana (from Pakistan to Nepal). Long season flowering perennial.
2.5-3' tall x 2' wide clumps. Rosettes of bigger gray and fuzzy leaves, bluish flowers from May till August.
Full sun, half sun, average to well drained soils. Some drainage is useful (sand, gravel, gritty, rocky component). Average moisture to medium-dry. Clay tolerant, but don't plant into waterlogged soil.
Hardy in zones 5 to 9.
Heat, humidity and drought tolerant plant. Pollinator friendly (bees and butterflies).
Best in sunny and drier flower bed, pollinator, rock garden or xeriscape garden. Combine with drought tolerant/resistant plants like Artemisia, Achillea, Asclepias tuberosa, Calamintha, Iris x barbata, Echinacea, Eryngium, Nepeta, Paeonia, Ruellia humilus, and grasses like Festuca, Schizachyrium, Koeleria, Muhlenbergia or Sporobolus.

Plant quality
This one arrived without a tag, so not sure where I planted it. All plants in the shipment looked healthy so I'm sure this will be a great surprise when it blooms.
