Attractive and very hardy perennial, native to mountains of Western Texas and Mexico.
36" tall x 18" wide, intense blue drop-shaped flowers in late summer and early fall, aromatic foliage.
Full sun, half sun, half shade, drained soil with medium moisture to drier (rocky, sandy, gravelly soils, rock gardens).
Hardy in zones 5 to 9, our plants survive winter in zone 6b in heavier soils that are improved with sand and gravel. Deer and rabbit resistant plant. Very good hummingbird plant, attracts butterflies too.
For flower beds with drained soils, bigger rock gardens, sandy or rocky soils, xeriscape.
