Product Code: PHL-RUS-JERSAG

$9.99

Very fine divided leaves, blue-purple flowers that float above the ground.

Hardy, blooming machine, rarely in cultivation, overlooked by the horticulture. Tough and very easy to grow, not fussy about the soil, heat, humidity or drought. We planted it in 2 locations and it confirmed it's qualities!

Slender looking plant, can flop or lean (especially on rich soils), so the best if intermingled with other perennials, grasses or meadow-type of planting. Pollinator friendly!

Blooming Time: June/July until regular frosts
Size: 2' tall x 0.5' wide
USDA Zones: 4 to 9
Culture: full sun to filtered sun, half shade, very adaptable to any soil (sandy, rocky, average, loamy, clayish). Somewhat drained soils are the best. Avoid waterlogged and poorly draining soils.
Moisture Needs: medium (average), medium-dry to dry
Origin: East Siberia and Japan, where it grows on sandy dunes, dry mountain slopes, rocky meadows and steppes. Introduced by Jelitto Seed Company in 2008.
Deer/Rabbit Resistant: yes / yes
