'Helen von Stein' = 'Big Ears' is non-flowering and large-leaf cultivar of Lamb's ear.
Modest, tough, moderately fast growing and easy to grow, ground covering perennial.
Popular for it's dense mats of hairy silver leaves and being very good weed suppressor. Heat and humidity tolerant.
8-10" tall x 18-30" wide. Full sun, half shade, tolerates dry shade. Prefers dry to medium-dry soil, always drained (wet clay will cause rotting). Tolerates heavy clay, that stays medium moist or dry.
Excellent groundcover, edging plant, perfect companion for shorter cultivars of roses, wonderful with Aster oblongifloius, Calamintha, Geranium (G. renardiii, G. sanquineum, hybrids), Eryngium, Echinacea, smaller Hemerocalis, Liatris, Nepeta, Origanum, Perovskia, Rudbeckia, Solidago, Thymus, Veronica spicata, and other common perennials, both native or non-native.

Excellent condition, harder to find (in Fall) perennial which was competitively priced for end of season.

Another healthy plant that had no wilting from shipment. Plants are very well packed and ready to plant in the garden or boot up to a larger pot for planting at a later time.
